"Child of the Dead, I call you forth Come to me, I summon thee."
With her red curls hanging loose, a deep green dress with corset and black laces, feet bare, Carissa sat on the floor in front of an alter she had made for this summon. It had statues of saints and other really old things, a few things that had belonged to the spirit were also placed there.
"Clover, daughter of Muriel I call your spirit; answer me!" The words came automatically as she poured animal blood in a cauldron and placed it in the fireplace, the aroma of blood filling the room. She needed Clover to answer something, to help her with something; she had so many questions in her head to the newly dead girl.
Transparent at first, then growing denser, Clover was standing in the living room. "I hear you, Carissa. Why was I called forth?" Carissa smiled before she knelt down in front of Clover. "I have some questions, about your death. I'm the counsel for the prosecution for your case and need your help getting the murderer convicted. Can you help?"
A long silence followed. "I was killed in a back alleyway, stabbed with a six inches silver knife. The killer was a male, about thirty, dark haired. I saw him run into the bar, 'Dragon's Den', outside the alleyway. Ask there if they saw someone with blood on his hands, for he must have washed it away there..." Her voice had started strong, but as she spoke, it grew fainter and fainter.
"Thank you, Clover. You are free to go. Seek out the light, don't linger to wait for your mother; she'll find you when the time is right." Carissa had written everything down, even how the ghost had appeared; long, brown hair, brow eyes, pale and with several wounds where the knife had been stabbed.
Clover disappeared, leaving Carissa with all the blood in the cauldron, boiling, the aroma soon filled the entire house. The cauldron was now removed from the fire and a few windows opened to get rid of the smell. Wonder if someone will come tonight.
